Supporting the East Kent Railway Trust

18/09/2025

Quattro was proud to partner with Network Rail and South Eastern Railway for a volunteer day at the East Kent Railway Trust, a heritage site that is both historically significant and central to its local community.

To support the efforts, we provided a road rail vehicle with strimmer attachment to help tackle the encroaching vegetation along the tracks. Alongside our partners, volunteers worked on a wide range of essential tasks: track maintenance, vegetation management, painting fences, trains and buildings, plus general upkeep across the site.

Bob Browning, Corporate Strategy, reflected on the day:

“It was inspiring to see so many people from different organisations come together with a shared purpose. By combining our skills, resources, and energy, we’ve been able to make a real difference for the East Kent Railway Trust and the community that enjoys it.”

The day highlighted the power of collaboration and the impact of collective effort in supporting the upkeep of this historic railway and its surrounding woodland.
