Quattro Plant expands Fleet with 20 New Scania UK 770S Trucks
Quattro has significantly expanded its heavy haulage capabilities with the addition of 20 brand-new Scania 770S trucks. This latest investment brings the company’s total Scania fleet to 23.
Quattro’s newly acquired Scania 770S will be among the most powerful trucks on the road, featuring the legendary 770hp V8 engine. Renowned for its durability and high torque output, the Scania V8 delivers exceptional performance under extreme weight and load conditions, making it the ideal choice for Quattro’s heavy-duty rail plant transportation.
Mark Stone, Depot Manager at Quattro Plant Cwmbran, who helped facilitate the deal, commented: “We’re delighted to upgrade our fleet with new Scanias. Quattro needs the pulling power, fuel efficiency and reliability to meet our customer demand. The Scania 770s will be hauling Quattro’s RRVs from Land’s End to John O’Groats, so we will be putting the workhorses through their paces.”
The deal was finalised between John Murphy, Managing Director of Quattro Plant, and Keltruck Scania's Richard Woodland, who added:
"We’re proud to deliver these flagship Scania tractor units to Quattro and wish their drivers many trouble-free miles.”
Murphy concluded:
“The driver feedback on the Scanias has been overwhelmingly positive, so expanding the fleet with more was an easy decision. The Scania 770S are the perfect vehicles to keep Quattro’s rail plant moving, on track and across the UK.”
