When Quattro Doncaster teammates Isobel Davies and Dan Laking planned to marry at the stunning Rushpool Hall in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, they decided their special day should include something that reflected their working life together, a shiny Quattro V8.

With plans in place, Dan, a Quattro HGV driver, made a grand entrance, pulling up in the truck and parking it front and centre right by the ceremony room window.

Bride Isobel told us it did not take long for the truck to become the most talked about guest at the wedding.

“Everyone was in awe,” laughed Isobel. “The kids absolutely loved it, and the men got more photos of the truck than they did with their wives!”
The venue staff were used to seeing creative wedding arrivals, having had a couple land in a helicopter the day before.
“They said it was the quirkiest and best-looking vehicle they had ever had at a wedding,” said Isobel. “That is pretty impressive considering we were competing with a helicopter!”

The truck took pride of place just outside the ceremony room window, perfectly positioned to appear in the aisle photos. It even popped up in the couple’s first dance pictures as Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton played in the background.

“There was no way my dress was getting in the cab, so Dan drove himself in,” Isobel added. “But it was perfect for our photos. It made the day feel even more ‘us.”

After the celebrations, the newlyweds headed to Center Parcs in Nottingham for a well-earned break, enjoying a few extra glasses of prosecco courtesy of their 'just married' status.

John Murphy, Managing Director, was both delighted and amused to see Quattro make an appearance at the wedding.

“This is fantastic! Two valued members of our team tying the knot and allowing Quattro to be part of the proceedings. Congratulations to our Mr and Mrs Laking.  I always say, the best wedding guest comes with eight cylinders and a Quattro badge!”

Now that the photos are back, one thing is clear: when you work together, laugh together, and love what you do, it all comes up Quattro!

Congratulations to newlyweds Isobel and Dan.  Thanks for taking us along for the ride!
