Quattro Engineers Are Highly Commended At RSA 2022

Congratulations to Quattro Group engineers David Moss and Jason Petersen who were highly commended and finished in the top 3 of this year’s Rail Staff Awards ‘Engineer of the Year’, a category brimming with impressive industry contemporaries.

Recognised for their revolutionary approach to machine electrification, David and Jason were applauded for being at the top of their field in their rapid developments to ‘retro-fitting’ and for delivering electric prototypes ahead of schedule.

A priority across the group, in 2021 Quattro Plant was the first rail plant company to sign up to the Science Based Targets global initiative to reduce emissions to 1.5 degrees by 2030.  

Managing Director John Murphy is delighted with the result. ’It’s great to see David and Jason’s work highly commended by the judges. Their forward-thinking engineering is of vital importance to the industry as a whole.’ 

David and Jason made the final 15 in the category, out of an overall 1183 entries, and celebrated with a bottle of champagne on the night. Working out of a research and development facility in Devon, the Quattro Rail engineers will continue on their mission to test and replace the market with net-zero RRVs.
